Project
Description
This
software
is
a
general
purpose
stand-alone
inventory
control
program.
What
follows
is
a
summary
of
the
main
features
of
the
system.
Supports
multiple
locations
The
software
tracks
inventory
stored
in
different
locations
(building,
warehouse,
vehicle,
etc.)
and
also
tracks
the
bin
location
within
each
warehouse
Transfer
inventory
from
location
to
location
Inventory
can
be
easily
transferred
from
one
location
(e.g.
warehouse)
to
another
Supports
multiple
companies
(directories)
This
feature
enables
you
to
maintain
separate
and
distinct
inventories
for
multiple
companies
in
separate
drives
or
directories.
Bar
Code
Compatible
The
software
includes
a
utility
which
accepts
uploads
from
most
remote
data
collection
devices
(scanners).
Supports
composite
inventory
Composites
are
inventory
items
which
are
composed
of
other
inventory
items.
For
example,
a
box
of
band
aids
would
be
a
composite
item
and
the
different
sizes
and
types
of
band
aids
in
the
box
would
be
composite
members.
This
software
tracks
each
composite
(and
the
composite
members)
so
that
as
the
composite
is
transacted,
adjustments
to
the
quantity-on-hand
for
each
composite
member
is
automatic.
Supports
serialized
inventory
Serial
numbers
for
each
serialized
item
are
automatically
maintained
as
the
serialized
items
are
transacted.
Supports
distribute,
return,
order,
receive,
and
transfer
transactions
Distribute:
Inventory
can
be
distributed
on
a
single
item
basis
or
multiple
items
can
be
listed
on
a
convenient
distribution
form.
When
the
form
is
transacted,
the
quantity-on-hand
for
all
items
on
the
form
are
automatically
adjusted.
If
the
quantity-on-hand
for
any
item
drops
below
the
order
point,
the
item
is
added
to
the
order
report.
The
distribution
form
can
be
saved
to
disk
and
reprinted
or
recalled
as
a
work-in-progress.
1.
Return:
Previous
distribute
transactions
can
easily
be
"backed
out"
of
the
system
with
the
return
transaction.
This
enables
you
to
correct
mistranslated
items
or
to
return
to
stock
items
which
have
been
returned.
2.
Order:
This
software
dynamically
monitors
order
points
for
each
item.
When
the
quantity-on-hand
for
any
item
drops
below
the
designated
minimum
(MIN)
quantity,
the
item
will
be
added
to
the
order
report
with
a
suggested
order
quantity
necessary
to
bring
the
quantity-on-hand
back
to
the
maximum
(MAX)
level
specified
for
the
item.
Inventory
can
be
ordered
automatically
(based
on
the
order
report)
or
manually
(regardless
of
the
suggested
order)
and
a
formal
purchase
order
can
be
printed
for
each
vendor.
3.
Receive:
Inventory
can
be
received
automatically
(based
on
the
purchase
order)
or
manually
(backorders
can
be
entered).
4.
Transfer:
Inventory
can
be
easily
transferred
from
on
location
(e.g.
warehouse
All
transactions
are
recorded
in
the
history
file
and
numerous
transaction
reports
are
available
Maintains
extensive
item
and
transaction
history
files
Each
transaction
(distribute,
return,
order,
receive,
and
transfer)
is
documented
in
the
transaction
history
file
and
every
transacted
item
is
documented
in
the
item
history
file.
Numerous
reports
are
available
to
detail
these
histories
forming
the
basis
of
a
very
powerful
inventory
analysis
tool.
For
example,
distribution
reports
are
available
showing
all
inventory
distributed
to
a
specific
reference
(customer)
and
all
references
that
have
received
a
specific
item
over
a
specified
time
span.
Maintains
a
complete
vendor
data
base
This
file
includes
the
vendor
name
and
address,
contact
person,
phone,
fax,
and
e-mail
numbers,
and
your
account
number
and
terms
with
each
vendor.
This
information
is
automatically
added
to
each
purchase
order
generated
for
the
vendor.
Convenient
inventory
adjustments
The
Inventory
Reconciliation
Utility
makes
it
easier
to
take
a
physical
inventory
and
then
to
make
necessary
adjustments
to
the
data
base.
Shrinkage
reports
are
available
to
analyze
adjustments.
Locate
records
by
any
field
or
combination
of
field
In
addition
to
a
convenient
"speed
search"
function,
the
system
includes
a
very
powerful
SQL
filtering
tool
which
enables
you
to
easily
isolate
a
single
record
or
group
of
records.
Convenient
browse
function
Browsers
are
available
for
each
of
the
seven
system
data
bases
(inventory,
histories,
serials,
composites,
addresses
(customers),
POs,
and
vendors).
These
browse
functions
enable
you
to
view/edit
multiple
records
simultaneously.
Includes
many
useful
reports
and
labels
You
have
a
choice
between
Crystal
Reports
and
Microsoft
Access
for
report
generation
and
printing.
You
can
use
Crystal
Reports
to
modify
the
existing
Crystal
reports
or
to
create
new
reports
and
labels
(Crystal
is
not
required
to
run
the
reports).
The
client-server
version
uses
Data
Dynamic's
Active
Reports
and
includes
a
complete
integrated
report
editor.
You
can
easily
modify
the
included
reports
or
create
your
own
reports
and
labels
from
scratch
(including
bar
code
labels). |
